An Important Message

In the 11th century there was a wise man, who came to the city of Qom,
which is now within the borders of Iran, years ago to deliver a sermon.
With his arrival, people flocked to the mosque.  After a while, the mosque was full,
and new arrivals had to stay outside.
So, the mosque attendant, who had been guiding people to their places from the beginning,
asked for permission and addressed the crowd:

“Brothers and sisters, everyone, wherever you are, come one step closer.” Upon hearing this sentence, the wise man announced that he will cancel his sermon and said…,

“Dear brothers and sisters, this fellow attendant just summarized what I was going to say today
and what previous sages have said before.
There is no need for me to speak. This is how everything changes.
Everyone, wherever you are, come one step closer.”
